Park Street / Cloud Engineer

October 2022 – Present, Miami

    At Park Street, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of cloud projects, leveraging AWS services to build scalable, high-performance applications. I’ve streamlined deployment processes by managing CI/CD pipelines through GitHub, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeBuild, ensuring faster, more reliable releases.

    From managing PHP, MySQL, and other major application version upgrades and system patching to integrating monitoring tools like New Relic, Datadog, and Qualys, I’ve kept our systems optimized and secure. My role also involves managing infrastructure costs by utilizing Reserved Instances and Spot Instances to drive cost savings. Additionally, I’ve worked with technologies like AWS Lambda and Serverless Computing to scale applications efficiently..

    Ensuring high availability is critical, and I’ve been able to implement AWS strategies using multiple Availability Zones, custom VPCs, and automation to keep our mission-critical systems running smoothly. Troubleshooting performance issues and conducting security analysis are also key parts of my day-to-day.

Park Street / IT System Administrator

July 2022 – Oct 2022, Miami

    In this role, I was responsible for administering critical systems such as AWS, Google Workspace, NetSuite, PBX, Jira, and Office 365. My primary focus was ensuring seamless integration, optimizing workflows, and enhancing security.

    I led our help desk support team, where I resolved technical issues and managed server environments, including Hyper-V and virtualized infrastructure. My efforts resulted in significant AWS cost savings for the company, and I took on the role of IT project coordinator, managing various projects from planning to execution.

    Security audits, network management, and system backups were regular tasks, and I made sure we had robust documentation in place for everything from configurations to troubleshooting procedures.

Park Street / Help Desk Coordinator

December 2021 – July 2022, Miami

    As a Help Desk Support Coordinator, I provided comprehensive support for physical and virtual desktops, along with platforms like Google Workspace, AWS, PBX, and NetSuite. I worked closely with end users, resolving technical issues quickly and maintaining high standards of customer service.

    I was proud to earn a promotion early on, thanks to my problem-solving skills and proactive approach to resolving issues. I also managed IT equipment inventories and created detailed knowledge base documents to improve our support processes.

Gaumard Scientific / Help Desk Support II

January 2007 – December 2021, Miami

    During my time at Gaumard Scientific, I handled technical support for a wide range of devices, including Windows, iOS, and Android. I became a go-to person for diagnosing complex hardware and software problems and providing tailored solutions for both users and IT staff.

    Managing Active Directory, patching systems, and performing regular maintenance were just some of the tasks that helped keep our IT infrastructure running smoothly. I was also involved in documenting technical issues and training my colleagues to enhance the team’s troubleshooting capabilities.
